Here is Nassau. We arrived Friday morning at 10am. If you want, you can go to my MYSPACE page and see a close up beautiful picture of the lighthouse.

Nassau is very colorful. Each of these houses are a different color.

This is Nicolas Cages Yacht. He owns some acres on Paradise Island.

This is a Hotel. Atlantis. It also has a casino, but we did not spend/lose any money there!
The windows over the arch is a hotel suite. $35,000 a night, minimum 4 nights. And it is booked for the next 10 years!!

Our ship is the one on the end. You can see our room. It is the 2nd to last window above the red line. We really liked being on the back end of the ship. We had no people that came down to the end of the hallway, so it felt more private. Plus the restaurants were above us, so we could eat quickly and leave!

ahhhh, aren't we cute?
It was a little windy.
We didn't do any excursions, we just did sightseeing on our own. We took a water taxi to Paradise Island, and then we walked to Atlantis. However once we got there we found out that their beach is a private one, and we couldn't go to it! So we started walking. and walking. and walking. We saw parts of the island that most tourist probably don't ever see! But we finally found a beach to dip our toes in.
Then we went back to the main land and got a taxi to take us to another beach. He gave us some great insider info about the islands. We had a great time. It is really pretty there.
That evening we got back on the ship to have dinner and then decided to see a show instead of going back on the island. (We left port at 6am)
Here is where our cruise got interesting! Mike and I played bingo, then saw a show. When the show started they told everyone to get on their feet and dance cheer etc. Well, we had just gotten our first drink, (at $11.63 each!) when we stood up. While standing up, my arm knocked over my drink, which then knocked over Mikes drink. All over our seats. Sheesh. That was expensive. And we needed to find new seats since ours was soaked. I wanted to see the show up close, so we went to the front row. It was there that the lady on stage looked at Mike and said "Hey Ugly Shirt Guy, get up here." Ugly shirt?! What!? Its not ugly!!
So up on stage Mike went to be a backup dancer/singer for Tia Thompson. She is hilarious! Check out this YouTube video to hear one of the songs she does.

She picked two other guys to be on stage as well. And let me tell you, she couldn't of picked 3 guys who DIDN'T want to be up there any more than them!! But she eventually got the 3 of them dancing and singing for her.
If that wasn't bad enough, she gave them wigs and feather boas. Then she was calling Mike Howard Stern Ugly Shirt.

I didn't have my camera with me, so these pictures are off the video that they took, so the whole ship could see it! Of course I had to buy the video! Make sure when you visit us, that you see the video. These pictures just don't do the show justice!!!

Mike was recognized the rest of the cruise by tons of people. Every where we went, someone was coming up to him and calling him "ugly shirt guy" We couldn't go anywhere without someone pointing him out.

We saw several more shows, and the last night, Tia Thompson was on stage. Mike wore a plain blue t-shirt, and she still spotted him. But she still called him Ugly Shirt.

We had a great time! We will go again! We didn't over indulge to much either. We couldn't go to the formal dinner, or even into the dining room, because Mike didn't bring any pants. Only shorts. So we had to eat at the buffet the entire time. Which was OK. But nothing impressive.
We played Blackjack, but didn't win. We played BINGO alot, but didn't win. However, I DID find a $20 bill laying on the ground!! Yeah!!
I still feel like I am on the ship. My Equal Librium is so off. I don't know how Leonard does it. Being on a sub for so long. You must sway for weeks afterwards.
Can't wait for our next cruise!
We got back home Sunday morning about 10:30am. Since we had missed Calebs birthday the day before, we took a nap, then took him to Chuck E Cheese. But that will be another blog. Tomorrow.
