Saturday was the Boy Scout Show.
It was at the UCF football arena. Indoors thankfully since it was 90 degrees!
All the Central Florida troops had booths set up.
Except for our troop.
Our leader will not be leading it starting this summer.
While I like the guy, he has not put forth any effort to organize any activities for the boys to earn badges.
Mike was going to be a leader, but by the time we found out, someone else had taken the position.
Hopefully the new leader will have a better idea of how to run a Den.
The kids loved the stilts.
These are so easy to make, as soon as I have 2 cans, I will be making these.
Caleb loved making Lemonade. He was really confused at first on how to do it yourself, but once he did it, and then tasted his creation (with added simple syrup and water), he can't wait to make it at home.
I guess I need to get one of these little juicers.
Elektra loves getting her face painted. Her favorite thing is a Purple Flower.
Zachary and Caleb don't like their faces painted, but they are ok with it on their arms.
However, it was the young boy scouts doing the painting, and no stencils to help.
This is how Elektras turned out. While she was simply thrilled just to have a Purple Flower on her cheek, the boys did not like their designs and refused to let me take a picture of them.
They immediately went to the restroom and washed it off.
Elektra, Caleb and I made Pumpkin Fry Bread. Soooo super easy!
You take lots of flour, then a tablespoon or 2 of pumpkin pie puree. Mix it into the flour until there is no more stickiness left at all. Then roll it into a ball, and flatten with your hand.
Fry it in hot oil until golden brown all over.
Top with 2 peaches and peach syrup, sprinkle powdered sugar, and eat. MMM!
Zachary did not make one because he hates to get anything sticky or messy on his hands.
Then we made some awesome bubble blowers.
Take a plastic cup, cut a small hole on the side, hot glue a straw thats been cut in half, into the hole, making sure the glue completely fills the hole between the cup and the straw, decorate with stickers, hot glue a piece of felt cut to fit the top of the cup, let dry.
Dip felt in dishwashing detergent that you poured onto a plate. Swirl it around, then blow on the straw.
Voila, lots and lots of bubbles!
Just be sure to blow and not suck!
Here the 3 kids raced marbles that were placed in boxes. It was.. interesting.

Only Caleb was brave enough to touch it.
Cake in a cup. But no spoon. Not really a good idea.
More golf games. Darn so close.
The kids got free mini frisbees so while Caleb was checking out some space stuff he got, and Elektra was playing with the space coins, Mike and Zachary played frisbee.
By the time we were done since it was so hot it wasn't very long, Zachary was getting very good at throwing and catching the frisbee.
We got home just in time to prepare for the Kentucky Derby.
Mike cut out all the horses, then him and the kids (Elektra and I were one team) drew the horses one by one. We had prizes for 1st place, a toy of your choice,
and these were 2nd place to the last place.
Calebs horse won 1st place, so he got to order a dyecast NASCAR car online.
Ok, that Princess and a Frog movie has made Elektra to really believe she can kiss frogs and they will turn into her Prince. She is absolutely fascinated by frogs now.
I won't let her put her mouth directly on them, but she sure tries.
I thought this picture was so cute. Einstien is almost as long as Zachary is!
Cinco De Mayo! Christina wanted to stay home from school and help me prepare for our Cinco De Mayo party. I am so glad she did! We had Al, Diane and 2 of her boys over. I spent all day in the kitchen making tamales, green chili chicken, homemade refried beans, ground pork taco meat, mini tosadas, mini tacos, flautas, fried Queso Blanco, homemade tortilla chips, Ranchero sauce, pica de gallo, salsa, and guacamole.
The kids colored a bunch of Cinco De Mayo pictures you can kind of see in the background.
It was alot of fun!
We even had Mexican music playing. Ole'!
