Daytona 500

I had forgotten that I didn't post our Daytona pictures yet! So a little late, but here they are. This was the front of the view from our camping spot. Facing Turn 4.
We liked it alot, and have already reserved it for 2010.

The spot next to us just had a tent which the guy only slept in, because his friends were far away, said he didn't mind the kids playing between our two spots. How lucky is that?!

This was the view to our right facing the middle of turn 3 & 4. This is how we got that great view!! Mike did such an awesome job building this! Most people had very rickety platforms. But there was no way we were going to let our kids sit on something they could fall from easily. It gave us a great view of our campsite too. We had our flags up and umbrellas. We even had a heavy duty mesh fence around it! No kids (or mommys) falling off. We even velcroed cup holders to it. Zachary lost a tooth while we were there!

Good thing that the tooth fairy is so capable of finding us!

This was during the Gatorade Duels. The boys were zonked from the fun day we had. One the nights we were there, we went to a campsite that was playing movies and had games and stuff for the kids. They had all the kids write their names on a piece of paper, then at the end of the movie, a name was drawn and that child won the movie.

Zachary won! We were really happy with our set up. We have so much camping stuff that we could easily live in the woods. We went outside of the track to do some souvenir shopping. My kids learned very quickly last year how much money they made by walking next to the trucks and looking for coins. So they walked. to. every. single. trailer. Probably 50+ trailers! But they did find several dollars total. What scavengers! This was a complete high light for them! They also had a little down time. We laid the blankets down on the grass for our floor. We had a really fun time. But we were very disappointed that it rained out the end of the race. We got jipped out of a full race. No fair! Just hanging out watching the races. Now that is what we call a fun weekend! Damn those clouds! We had to close everything up do to the rain. Camping in rain is not fun. Other than the rain, we had a blast!!Cant wait till 2010!!

Spring Time!

Wow! I didn't mean to go this long without blogging!
I have been pretty busy since being home. There have been a ton of little projects that need to be done. Its Spring. Which means spring cleaning. Believe it or not, I really like to spring clean. I love getting deep into a project of organizing. Taking everything out of closets or drawers or cabinets.
Getting rid of all the unused stuff taking up space. Then putting it all back together in a neat organized manner. Its a happy feeling opening said item to find it so neat.
Caleb and Zachary have been enjoying riding their bikes. The neighbors across the street have 2 boys ages 8 & 6.
For Mikes and my 9th Wedding Anniversary we went to Miami Beach. We stayed at a hotel that docked dozens of yachts. From tiny ones to Mansions, it had them all. We had a great time! The kids had spring break the week of the 5th. Christina flew home to AZ to see her dad and his family. (Chris is doing much better and getting around well) Mike took the boys and I to Palm Beach for most of the break. He had to work some, so the boys and I hung out at the zoo during the day, and then when Mike was done working we'd go to the beach. It was a little chilly on the water due to a cold front that came thru.

Caleb stepping in Daddy's Footprints

Zachary stepping in Daddy's Footprints. At the Naples Zoo we took a boat around to some little islands to see Monkeys. But I see 2 right here! Oh, THOSE are the monkeys! No, I really think THESE are the monkeys. Don't you? The boys were exhausted after a day of being monkeys. Actually they behaved themselves wonderfully! I never have a problem taking them anywhere. They know how to behave properly. Yeah Zachary & Caleb!! Friday night we dyed Easter Eggs. Christina didn't want to. She had plans with her friends. I understand of course, but it was really weird not having her there. We also painted the eggs. And then they painted Daddy. Look at all the Easter baskets! Look at all the chocolate! YUM! Let the hunting begin! In the Family Room. In the Den. In the Foyer. With an audience. In the Living Room.
Outside.EEWWW. Caught Uncle Owiee smoking.
Wow! How did the Easter Bunny fit in there?
Did the Easter Bunny have any eggs left for other houses?
Even up in the trees?!
Caleb didn't get a chocolate bunny, but rather a chocolate Jeff Gordon car. MMM!
Happy Spring!!
