Last Week of Aug!

We had a fun week. Leonard and Michelle came over almost everyday to play with Elektra. Michelle made cupcakes. Elektra and her face enjoyed the frosting! I am not quite sure how the frosting got on her forehead!

Sunday we went to Church. It was Pastor Chucks last Sermon at Willow Glen Baptist. He is leaving to do God's calling somewhere else. I have really enjoyed going to church every Sunday and hearing his sermons.

He will really be missed at the Church. I hope he finds a church in Orlando!

After Church we had a potluck, then walked to Downtown Willow Glen to the Italian American Festival. Lots of Yummy Italian food, and fun vendors filled the streets.

Elektra liked looking up, way up, at the stilt walker.

But she mostly like swinging around this 'wand' that Mommy and Daddy bought her. (in fact she is 'abracadabraing' me with it as I type this.) Mikey redid the boys room to give them more play area, since Elektra will have the playroom.

After a summer of sleeping where ever they wanted in (daddys bedroom on the couch), they have been sleeping in their own beds with out a problem.

Now that the summer tourists have gone home, Mikey has been taking the kids to Universal Studios alot. They are waiting for Spiderman here.

They stopped on the way and got Subway for their dinner.

At their school, if you behave very well, or you get an award of some sort, you get to pick a treasure out of the treasure box. Caleb was thrilled he got to pick something!

When Elektra saw this picture of Caleb wearing Christina's Tiara she said "Princess Caleb".

The cats are forever finding creatures and bringing them into the house.

Its a centipede or millipede or some kind of nasty wormy thing.

Space Shuttle Atlantis lifted off the other night at Midnight. It was a Friday night, so everyone stayed awake to see it.

Day or Night, the shuttle launch is always fascinating to see.

Zachary had a cub scout meeting last night. They got new shirts!

Today is Sept 1st! Have a happy Sept! Fall is around the corner!

First Day of School!

All 3 kids had a good first day of school!

Zachary decided to wear his Spiderman Backpack instead. (He has had it since Kindergarten, and just doesn't want a new one)Caleb out side of his classroom. He goes to Kindergarten from 8:15-3:05. Same hours as Zachary. Constant smile! He told me 'I did math and some other things, but I don't know what they were.' His desk. Zachary's class has 14 kids, Caleb's class has 15. I love the small class sizes! The sad parents had to stay out of the classroom and wave their GoodByes thru a small window in the door. Zachary met him after school and let him sit next to him and Avery on the bus on the way home. Caleb loved that! Christina also had a good day. She stayed after school because she is usually a mentor for the Freshmen, but since she missed the Orientation meeting, (she was visiting me in CA, and her dad in AZ) the teacher told her she didn't have time trying to catch Christina up. She was very disappointed. The teacher wouldn't even listen to her reason. An exciting thing that Christina is doing this year is she is going to be the school teams Medic. She will go to all the football practices and administer first aid to any one that gets injured. Hmmmm. Football players hurt their groins often.... Why didn't I think of that in High School?

Summer is Over.

Today is the First Day of School!! Christina starts her Senior Year, Zachary starts Third Grade, and Caleb starts Kindergarten! Saturday, Mike took Caleb shopping for his backpack and lunch box. He got coordinating Spiderman Backpack, and Lunch box! How cute! Zachary did not want a new backpack or lunch box. He found a BLUE backpack we have had for ages, from who only knows where or when, but its BLUE, and thats what he wants. Who are we to argue NOT spending any money on a new one? Caleb is so super excited to start Kindergarten, that Saturday morning he woke Mike up, completely dressed with his backpack and shoes on, ready to go to school. He was even finishing eating his breakfast which is why his cheeks are full. The boys love to color. They will spend the longest time drawing pictures and coloring them. He is so obsessed with Golf, he even draws it! Mike took the boys for a last beach vacation before school starts. They found a different beach and they had it all to themselves! Thats a pretty cool city that they built! Aww! I love these pics! Best Buddies! Or else they are trying to pull each other into the water... Wow! Check out that road! They stayed 2 nights. One at the Putt Putt Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, the other in Jupiter. Zachary fell at the hotel and scraped his face up. What IS it with my kids getting hurt? They are conked out after a busy day at the beach. Caleb learned to swim during this trip. We knew once Zachary started swimming, that Caleb would quickly learn. He swam the entire length of the pool. But not in these! Someday Caleb, you will fit in these. NO Rush!!!! While the boys played down south, Frank and Christina went to Universal Studios! Elektra's new shoes light up when she walks, so she was dancing around making them light up. Her and I played Tattoo Parlour. She told me what to paint on her and where. Of course, I had to give myself a little tattoo too. This weekend Mom and Dad were here so we met up with our Cousin June and her 2 kids, Dixon, 18 and Cody, 14. Everyone came over to the Blue House for a BBQ then we went to the Circus. We had fun seeing the Elephants and Tigers! Check out my moms hair. I cut 8 inches off! We were up high, but actually had very good seats. They don't do a 3 ring circus any more. More like one continuous show, so you really get to see the entire show. Cousin June and her son Cody. I didn't get one of Dixon tho. Did anyone else? Send it to me!! Dad and I enjoyed watching the Circus too!
