Jesus Christ Walk The Frog

Caleb loves to watch videos. He especially loves You Tube. Yes. Our 4 year old spends more time on You Tube than any of us combined. And then some. His sites? Universal Studios Theme Park, Disneyworld, Roller Coasters, and airplanes. Under the Universal site he can click on the different rides and watch them. He loves watching Jurassic Park the Ride. For those of you that don't visit You Tube, after you watch a video there are many more to choose from relating to that video. His clicking brought him to this site:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9AVTlvbhKM&feature=related

If you click on it, you will see a video of 30 second clip of the movie Jurassic Park. Its the part where the scientists see the dinosaurs for the first time. Usually I make the kids listen to the computer on very low volume, so I never paid much attention to the WORDS. Then last night Mike and I HEARD the words.

"Oh my gosh, is that guy singing what I think he's singing?"

We go in the den to find the boys singing along. Mike immediately clicks out of the video. "Why are you listening to that? That has bad words. We don't use those words."

Zachary and Caleb both said, "What bad words? We aren't saying bad words. We like the dinosaur video, its funny!"

So Mike clicks it back on, and asks the boys to tell us what the words are.

the words are actually:

Holy F**king S**t its a dinosaur. Jesus Christ what the f**k. Oh my f**king god f**king dinosaurs. Holy s**t what the f**k.

Here is the boys version:

"Holey walking sheep its a dinosaur. Jesus Christs walks the frog. Oh my flying dog walking dinosaurs. Holey sheep walk the frog."

See? No bad words there!

We took Caleb to Beef O' Bradys yesterday after school. It was our first time in there. Caleb wanted to play video games while we waited. The nice driving one? NO. Of course not.

The Lets Shoot and Kill Deer and Bears one. Not to brag or any thing, but this is the temp our truck said this afternoon. Christina was actually cold walking to the bus stop at 6:20am. I think camping time is coming soon. Mike got to display his He Man skills again opening a coconut for our dessert. Today we had lunch at Zachary's school. I cut Christina's hair. Isn't is soo cute? I think it makes her look older. Our tadpoles are getting big. Scary big. We need to put them in a small aquarium SOON! Because we don't want to ask Jesus Christ to Walk our Frogs.

My Secret Idenity... THE HULK

Zachary joined Cub Scouts last week. He starts off as a Wolf Cub. As most of you know, he has his favorite pet in the world...Wolfy. So he was very pleased! Caleb could not join until he is in 1st grade. In AZ it is kindergarten. He was sad. But a T-shirt cheered him up.
Remember those frogs I posted about? They are over taking over!! They are everywhere! Dozens, hundreds, maybe even thousands all over our yard! And IN OUR HOUSE. Caleb did good his first week of preschool. Day 2 he came home and I asked him what he did, he said "Nothing. I just wanted to play. I didn't do any work." I believed him. The next day I asked the teacher how he was, and she said he participated in everything! Was never a problem! He did wonderful! Completed all his papers! Had no clue what I was talking about. Hmmmm. I guess that's better than hearing, "I did everything." Only to find out they didn't. This is his first ever paper. He really enjoyed writing 'H'. Our kitties love to be held. They don't even mind it if the boys hold them.... Really. Our first ever study time. BOTH boys had homework. Kids say the funniest things. On Friday Mike and I did the lawn. I mow, and he edges and does all the clean up. Well, I mow in my flip flops. I know. I know. But I do.
When I came in Caleb looked at my green feet and said so seriously, and very concerned,
"Mommy, are you turning into
The HULK!??"
Saturday we went to Universal Studios.
We hadn't been since June, and we all missed it so much.

Christina brought her best friend Katelyn. Caleb went on the water ride for the first time. Yeah Caleb! You are so brave!!!They already have it decorated for Halloween. Starting the end of the month, I will no longer be a stay at home mom. (well sorta)

I am going back into business for myself!

I will be renting a hair and nail station at a salon in downtown Oviedo called CLIX.

I will be my own boss again! My hours will be Mon-Thurs 9-12. The owner made me an offer I couldn't refuse. It will be nice to not have an 'Annette' situation like before. I will be able to run my business, and not worry about a boss not allowing me to take time off. It will be nice to get back into a salon. One of my coworkers husbands does the same type of work that Mikey does, with a sort of, but not really, competing company. And they just moved here 3 months ago. We have alot in common with them! (so far)

Its funny, up until recently we could walk into stores and not have a single person know who we are. Now we are starting to recognize people and be recognized. In AZ you could almost guarantee that when I went to the stores I would see someone I knew. Especially working and living in the same area. Our anonymity is slowly leaving us. Florida is wrapping us up around her fingers. And we are really enjoying it!

Being a Brown is Never Boring

Well last week was so boring there wasn't anything to post about.
The only thing exciting we did was wash and hand wax our Durango. Caleb loved helping!
My truck is so happy to be clean. Can you believe there are no good car washes in our area?
All that is around us are those gas station ones. We miss Danny's Family Car wash and BJ's. Our truck hasn't been cleaned inside or much outside since we moved here. And I am use to having a very clean car.I bought wax and cleaning supplies and we went to town on it! We even steam cleaned the carpets!
Our kitties are a handful. They are worse than having a child. Don't they look so innocent? Don't be fooled.
With my kids, I never had to put up or hide breakables. I told them not to touch, and never had a problem. The kitties on the other hand....
They have broken my vases on my bathtub, candle holders on dressers, glasses on the counters. They knock off papers on the desks. They drag toys out of the playroom and spread them all around the house. They attack the computer screen while we type.
Anyone want a kitty?
So, anyways I thought it was a boring week...
I should know better than to think anything about our life is boring.
On Friday, Christina and her friends left our house to go to another kids. This is what happened after they walked across the street to the sidewalk on the opposite side of our house.

Tyler fell in a sinkhole. It took Mikey and another neighbor to pull him out. I took this picture after Christina and them pulled him a little bit out. He WAS literally over his head.

Look at how big he is (black tank top) Can you imagine if one of our boys (or other neighbors little ones) fell in it? I'm not sure we would even be able to see them, or hear them. .Mike put a slab of wood over it. Since it was after 5pm (of course) all the city and county road places were closed for the weekend. So I emailed several names and places to get someone to fix it.

This is what I woke up to Saturday. The doorbell rang at 8am. I open it to find 3 firemen standing there handing me my newspaper.

Hello!!! Good Morning!!

No, I didn't call 911. But whoever read the email called them. They put up a some yellow tape around it, spray painted DANGER on the board. Caleb was outside with me, so they gave him a fireman helmet and badge stickers. And they offered to take our picture! Now Caleb wants to be a Fireman for Halloween. He LOVES wearing his helmet, and wears it quite often. Zachary missed out because he was on the computer playing Toon Town. He was sad.

About an hour after the firemen left, the sheriffs pulled up. The other person got my email and called THEM!! Turns out its a HOA problem to fix. So we have a call in to them.
Sunday morning the boys went outback to play in the pool only to run in yelling there were 'things' in it.

I'll say!! Tadpoles. Tree Frog Tadpoles! Thousands and thousands of them!

So Mike and the boys scooped them out because they didn't want them to die.

Then they took them to the lake.

And saved their lives. Then they played for awhile.

Today when we left for school, there were hundreds of baby frogs all over the driveways, and in the bushes, and on the house, and on the windows. They were every where!! And thanks to my sensitive children we added thousands to the population.

My poor Zachary. He and Caleb were running thru the house and he ran right into the corner of the wall. Ouch!!!!

This morning Zachary let Nascat in from outside. (Him and Freeway Love being out at night). This is what he left by our door. EWWWWWW!!!!!!

That was a nice (not) start to Caleb's FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

He goes to VPK. Voluntary Pre Kindergarten. Its FREEEEEE!!!!! 9-12 Mon-Fri.

He was so excited to go, he pulled us into the room. Then let go of our hands, waved bye, and walked off to play. That was that!

Then Mike and I had a parent teacher conference with Zachary's teacher. So far, so good. Zachary is still behind alot of the other kids, but has improved greatly! That's what we are looking for. Make sure he progresses forward. The teacher is very impressed with him, as was his first grade teacher. He said that "Zachary is a wonderful student and is working hard to meet second grade expectations. He is still adjusting to second grade and requires accommodations and assistance in completing his work independently. He gives 110%."

We are very proud of him.

Mike and I came home today for the first time in 7 years without a child. It was weird....

When we picked him up the teacher said he did wonderful. Sang with them, participated in all the activities. He even tried to write the letters they practiced. His school is very close to Zachary's school, and Zachary's lunch is at 12:14, so we went to have lunch with him!

Our boring week ended with lots of excitement. I can only hold my breath for what surprises await us this week, and next. Tonight we head back to Zachary's school because he is joining Cub Scouts! Yeah Zachary! Maybe he will follow in Uncle Leonard's footsteps and become an Eagle Scout!

Its been nice actually...

I don't suppose anyone else been watching the weather a lot lately? Or is it just Floridians?
The weather updates are on every channel, scrolling across the top or bottom, at one time or another thru out the day. So we cant HELP but to know whats going on out in the Atlantic.
More Hurricanes! We feel like we are in a game of Dodge Ball! The tropical storms outer bands, have brought us cooler temps.
Lately every morning, late afternoon, and evenings have been beautiful! Even mid afternoons have been surprisingly very tolerable.
So tolerable in fact, that we have spent alot of time out doors this week!

The boys are really enjoying their "Papa Bill Jeep" that's what they call it since Papa Bill (AND Mama Ginny!!) bought it for them.

Can't you just SEE how nice it feels outside?!Mikey worked in Boynton Beach Mon-Wed. He got back very late Wed night.

Thursday afternoon he and Caleb said they were going to take a nap. I GUESS! How any of the 4 of them can sleep like that is beyond me!

Saturday we went to the Science Center. As always, it is an enjoyable learning experience.Zachary was off to explore the entire KidZone. I could hardly find him to take his picture!

Caleb spent most of his time here..... playing with the boats and water...

and here.... Figuring out how all the parts go on the car.

Aww, isn't this just too cute?

Thats the girl kitty, PeekAboo.

We have really been in an organization project mood lately!

We did the boys closet last week, this weekend we cleaned out the garage. There is so much room in there now! We may never get two cars in the garage, but there is plenty of room for our Durango, bikes, Papa Bill Jeep, and we can still easily walk around in it! While we were cleaning the garage, the boys were playing. It sprinkled off and on all day. But never enough that it stopped the ducks from continuing to come visit us. Yesterday was Labor Day. We labored reorganizing my closet. Mikes is next!

Then last night we were to have a Bbq. But when Mike turned on the gas grill, he quickly turned it off, because there was a loud hissing sound. Apparently there is a hole in one of the hoses. I bet a critter chewed it. (I went out back a few weeks ago, late in the evening, and heard rustling by the bbq, and saw a possum (I think) that nonchalantly walked out from behind it, and over to the trees.) So I had to George Foreman our brats. Just not the same.
