Calebs Birthday

We got back from our cruise Sunday morning at 10:30. After everyone opened their souvenir presents, Mike and I layed down for a short nap.
Then we were off to Chuck E. Cheese for Caleb's 4th birthday.
Caleb could hardly eat his pizza in anticipation of his cake. Of which he only ate the frosting. We also had Michelle, Elektra, and Christina's boyfriend Robbie with us. He is becoming a fixture around the house lately. Believe it or not, Caleb LOVES to open cards. This plane he got from Grumpa and Gramma. You pump it with air, and it flies. Boy does it ever fly. The first time we flew it, it ended up in our neighbors across the street bushes. Later on it hit another neighbors roof and landed in their bushes. I think we need to take it to a BIG grassy park. Nice wrapping! Took 4 of us to open the box!! Duct tape....Must be a BROWN boy thing. He got a hat (and other stuff) from Mama Ginny and Papa Bill. He got this truck, and then didn't want to play the games any longer. So Zachary and Daddy played games. Zachary learned how to throw the ball into the 100,000 pt. He made it a dozen times! A close up of Elektra. She is such the best baby I have ever seen. She is always smiling, and lets Mike or I hold her without fussing! In fact she would walk up to us and reach her arms up to be picked up! We miss her around our house. Unfortunately Michelle ended up getting the crud that we had. So after we got back she layed down for awhile. Which meant we were left to play with Elektra! Yeah! She only started fussy when it had gotten late and she was pretty tired. I tried holding her and walking her, but after a minute Mike took her, and instantly she stopped crying. Must be a height thing. On Monday late afternoon Michelle was feeling a little better so we decided to meet Mike at Cocoa Beach for dinner. (He was working about 2 hours south of it). I was nervous about driving because the farthest I have been by myself is only 20 minutes away. But not only did i do OK driving there, I found the pier that Mike and I had looked for several times last summer. We always ended up to far north or south. Now we know exactly where to go!!
I don't have any pictures tho because by the time we got there it was dark. Too bad. Well at least Michelle and Elektra can say they dipped their fingers in the Atlantic Ocean, even if they couldn't see it very well.
Michelle and Elektra flew home on Tuesday.
*Thank you for coming out and saving our vacation! Sorry you got sick in the process.*

Happy Birthday Mom2!!!

Well for some reason, the blog is not letting me upload pictures today, so I will try to post Caleb's birthday pictures tomorrow. Zachary's class is doing a project where we are sending out a Manila Envelope with a letter in it and a Paper Boy named Stanley. When you receive Stanley, please take him somewhere with you, take a picture of the two of you if possible, then write a short letter about where you went and what you did. Mail that to the school. Then mail Stanley to another family member. He is first going to visit Rivers! I have put my family's address on the back so that when you all are done you can send it to them. Speaking of Zachary and school, he is done with his extra tutoring. For 6 weeks he went 2 days a week for an hour in the morning. He has really improved! He knows all the sight words that he is supposed to know to go on to 2nd grade. We are really keeping our fingers crossed that he doesn't have to repeat. He doesn't seem to be struggling so much, and his math is great! I really think that once it 'clicks' he will be just fine. That's how it was with Christina. One day she got it, and its been better ever since. Caleb will start Preschool in August. They have FREE preschool out here! Yeah!! He will go 8:30 - 11:30. Its at the same school as Zachary so he will get to ride the bus with him! Happy Birthday to MOM2!!! Your present is in the mail. March is the busiest month ever with birthdays!! Christina's photo shoot is Saturday morning. That will be really neat for her. She gets to have 4 different photographers do different shoots. And 4 hair and makeup artists to change her look for each photographer. How fun!!

Cruisen to the Bahamas

We are back from our Cruise!! And yes we had a wonderfully fun and romantic time! But as the saying goes......"What happens on the cruise stays on the cruise."
Just kidding. You didn't really think I wouldn't post pictures and tell the story of Mike on stage as a back up singer/dancer did you?! Of Course I will!!! After all, isn't that what a blog is for? To make our private life as public as possible?
We picked Michelle and Elektra up from the airport Wed afternoon. Elektra is such a great baby. She let me hold her and never cried!
The boys were still sick with fevers and runny noses. Zachary ended up missing the entire week of school.
That night as Mike and I were packing Christina came and showed me a tiny white wormy looking thing that fell on her when she picked up NASCAT. UhOh. So I started really paying attention to him, and found another one, coming out of his butt. GROSS!! DISGUSTING!
Why oh Why do things like this happen when it is the utmost inconvenient time? Mike had to go find a petstore, (not close to the house) to get tapeworm med. NASCAT must of gotten it outside. But he wont stay indoors. So I guess this is something I will always have to be on the lookout for. YUCK YUCK YUCK!!
Thursday at 12 we finally got out of the house and headed to the ship. Once we got one, I felt like I had died and gone to purple heaven! The ships main color was PURPLE!!!
Here is our room. I'm glad we had a window this time. See the purple!! Still at Port Canaveral. Getting ready to leave! Top of ship Golf on the top deck. Caleb would've spent all his time here! We never got back to it. This is the atrium. Leaving Port. Club Vegas. We only lost 100$ here. Sensation Boulevard

Here is Nassau. We arrived Friday morning at 10am. If you want, you can go to my MYSPACE page and see a close up beautiful picture of the lighthouse.

Nassau is very colorful. Each of these houses are a different color.

This is Nicolas Cages Yacht. He owns some acres on Paradise Island.

This is a Hotel. Atlantis. It also has a casino, but we did not spend/lose any money there!

The windows over the arch is a hotel suite. $35,000 a night, minimum 4 nights. And it is booked for the next 10 years!!

Our ship is the one on the end. You can see our room. It is the 2nd to last window above the red line. We really liked being on the back end of the ship. We had no people that came down to the end of the hallway, so it felt more private. Plus the restaurants were above us, so we could eat quickly and leave!

ahhhh, aren't we cute? It was a little windy. We didn't do any excursions, we just did sightseeing on our own. We took a water taxi to Paradise Island, and then we walked to Atlantis. However once we got there we found out that their beach is a private one, and we couldn't go to it! So we started walking. and walking. and walking. We saw parts of the island that most tourist probably don't ever see! But we finally found a beach to dip our toes in. Then we went back to the main land and got a taxi to take us to another beach. He gave us some great insider info about the islands. We had a great time. It is really pretty there. That evening we got back on the ship to have dinner and then decided to see a show instead of going back on the island. (We left port at 6am) Here is where our cruise got interesting! Mike and I played bingo, then saw a show. When the show started they told everyone to get on their feet and dance cheer etc. Well, we had just gotten our first drink, (at $11.63 each!) when we stood up. While standing up, my arm knocked over my drink, which then knocked over Mikes drink. All over our seats. Sheesh. That was expensive. And we needed to find new seats since ours was soaked. I wanted to see the show up close, so we went to the front row. It was there that the lady on stage looked at Mike and said "Hey Ugly Shirt Guy, get up here." Ugly shirt?! What!? Its not ugly!!

So up on stage Mike went to be a backup dancer/singer for Tia Thompson. She is hilarious! Check out this YouTube video to hear one of the songs she does.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YWDEdXCiOI&feature=related

She picked two other guys to be on stage as well. And let me tell you, she couldn't of picked 3 guys who DIDN'T want to be up there any more than them!! But she eventually got the 3 of them dancing and singing for her.

If that wasn't bad enough, she gave them wigs and feather boas. Then she was calling Mike Howard Stern Ugly Shirt.

I didn't have my camera with me, so these pictures are off the video that they took, so the whole ship could see it! Of course I had to buy the video! Make sure when you visit us, that you see the video. These pictures just don't do the show justice!!!

Mike was recognized the rest of the cruise by tons of people. Every where we went, someone was coming up to him and calling him "ugly shirt guy" We couldn't go anywhere without someone pointing him out.

We saw several more shows, and the last night, Tia Thompson was on stage. Mike wore a plain blue t-shirt, and she still spotted him. But she still called him Ugly Shirt.

We had a great time! We will go again! We didn't over indulge to much either. We couldn't go to the formal dinner, or even into the dining room, because Mike didn't bring any pants. Only shorts. So we had to eat at the buffet the entire time. Which was OK. But nothing impressive.

We played Blackjack, but didn't win. We played BINGO alot, but didn't win. However, I DID find a $20 bill laying on the ground!! Yeah!!

I still feel like I am on the ship. My Equal Librium is so off. I don't know how Leonard does it. Being on a sub for so long. You must sway for weeks afterwards.

Can't wait for our next cruise!

We got back home Sunday morning about 10:30am. Since we had missed Calebs birthday the day before, we took a nap, then took him to Chuck E Cheese. But that will be another blog. Tomorrow.
