Nothing new at this point to write about as far as my brother and Michelle. I found a website that helps explain what we think is happening and why.

Since no one that we know has ever been involved in the system, we had no idea of the way it works. This website has opened our eyes to why we think we are in this mess. If we had the money to afford a GOOD attorney, and not have to go with state appointed ones, we would not be where we are.
Anyway, right now, I am stuck in CA. They will not let me leave the state with her. She cannot go visit family in AZ, she cannot return with me to Florida. So they are keeping me from my family, as well as keeping her from all of her family. (besides me). My cousin Kim in Az is in hospice due to her Leukemia, and is not expected to survive. (my heart goes out to my extended family that is dealing with this sad situation. She has daughters close to Christina's age, and one will be graduating high school this week) I cannot even take her to go to the funeral. The court thinks a 2 year old should not be going to a funeral. Even tho she is 2 and would really have no concept of what is happening. Instead what she would be experiencing is seeing Grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles etc that would love to see her, hug her, kiss her, smile for her. There is so much that the court system is doing, that we just shake our heads because we don't understand.
By the way, as of this posting, neither my brother or Michelle have been charged with anything.
Mike sends me pictures of everything he and the kids are doing. He is doing a great job of keeping them happy in my absence. He has even made meals in the crockpot!!! I'm so proud of him!! Last week he had to work in St. Augustine, so since we do not have someone full time to watch the boys, he took them with him. Looks to me like they had a fun time!

I just love how they cuddle together.
While in the hotel, the race was on, and they are completely into NASCAR, so they came up with some kind of betting system on which driver would win, and whose driver that would be.

Not soon enough for poor Caleb.
Speaking of the cats... Mike took them for a car ride the other day. You can tell they are brothers, the big one is pinning down the littler one.

Corinne, you should contact Sally Clark's family in the UK. Sally Clark was victim of one of the most appalling miscarriages of justice—she was jailed for three years after having been accused of murdering both her children (they died from SIDS). She fought to clear her name, and succeded, but sadly never ecovered from her ordeal and died aged 42. Her family has created a website to remember Sally. It points people with similar problems to www.lawworks.org.uk a po bono group in the Uk—but perhaps this group can help you find some US contacts?
It is not pleasant to me.
Anon,
It is not pleasant to me either. To NONE of us.
Being in the system is horrible, especially when you are innocent.
